In the House of Reps, they were discussing about population control. In few years time Nigeria would be the 3rd most populous country in the world after China and India. Remember we still struggle to get 24 hour electricity, still no adequate jobs, to gain admission to a government-owned university is a war.
That's how this Hausa man stood up o and said that trying to control the population is very bad, that it is against Islam, that every man should marry 4 wives and keep multiplying and give birth to as many children as possible. I just kept on thinking if the non-commonsensical speech he was giving was ever in the constitution. That talk almost gave me a seizure.
Atimes, religion creates more problems than solves them.
