THIS IS STORY BOOK LOVE
A woman is shopping at a supermarket, then a man comes in and is purchasing stuffs the same line she is, then he takes a quick glance at the lady, the lady steals a glance from him too. Then he smiles and she smiles back openly.
Then they begin to look at each other and smiling, smiling for no reason, at this point(if it is a movie), a slow love song is being played, then an item mistakenly drops from the lady's hand and she says I'm sorry and tries to bend down to pick the item, the two of them go for it. They both bend down to pick it and stare at each other again while in the squat position. Then he introduces himself later, she does that too and they go home thinking about each other.
You wanna know the reality love?

PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE 2

If you scroll down you see this post; "putting the cart before the horse". i hope you've read it. Now I'll be giving you another example of how the government are "putting the cart before the horse in dealing with the epileptic power supply in Nigeria.
Forget the statistics and whatever figures they've brought to you on your TV screen, the fact is there is no light!Pres. Buhari who still has some military blood in him tried to do something drastic to the epileptic state of our electricity. He immediately stopped the importation of generator sets into the country. The question now is, will that ever make electricity constant in Nigeria?! It's quite the opposite. What happens to those living in areas that do not even have power supply at all? Ok...ok...I'm not just trying to criticize our President for the sake of it, he appointed Fashola has the Minister of Power, so let's give him "HALF" round of applause but let me ask again, will banning the importation of generator sets ever improve electricity supply in Nigeria? Noooo...
That takes us back to the cliché "putting the cart before the horse". What the FG and Fashola should do is simply to give Nigeria the damned light!!! There's already so much billions invested in that sector. Enough of the promises and the encouraging statistics. Just give us light!
The banning of the generator sets without constant electricity will only cause more problems than solutions. Smugglers will try smuggling these contraband products by hook and crook, one can't blame them though because the demand will always be high, it's the faithful custom officers I fear for, they have to put their lives on the line because they will facing some very desparate smugglers who could be armed. Worse still, even the generator sets that will eventually make it into the country will be sold at sky-rocketed prices and those who don't have power supply or can't stand their bulbs 'blinking and winking at them' will have no other choice but to buy.
Common sense should be applied here, if there was constant power supply in Nigeria, there won't be demand for generators and there would be no need for smugglers to smuggle them in. Common sense!

I want to cry.
One Hausa man was standing up and saying something...wait let me tell you everything from the beginning.
In the House of Reps, they were discussing about population control. In few years time Nigeria would be the 3rd most populous country in the world after China and India. Remember we still struggle to get 24 hour electricity, still no adequate jobs, to gain admission to a government-owned university is a war.
That's how this Hausa man stood up o and said that trying to control the population is very bad, that it is against Islam, that every man should marry 4 wives and keep multiplying and give birth to as many children as possible. I just kept on thinking if the non-commonsensical speech he was giving was ever in the constitution. That talk almost gave me a seizure.
Atimes, religion creates more problems than solves them.

PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE

Our government! When will they ever be able to solve a problem?!
For so long our government have tried solving problems by attacking the secondary effect of the problems.
There are several examples of such.
Presently, in my country Nigeria, there's fuel scarcity. Why is there fuel scarcity? What is the cause? Not far fetched. We keep on importing refined fuel because our own refineries ain't working, the cost of importing this fuel is quite much as they claim so they "subsidies" the fuel price thereby spending billions on fuel subsidy. It's not always easy to keep on "subsidising" the fuel, that's why there are scarcities of petrol like now.
SO! What is the solution? We all know the solution and have talked about it too often. It's quite simple, just make our refineries work!!! but what is our FG saying(especially my pastor: VP Osinbajo), they are still VERY busy blaming the past administration, claiming they destroyed Nigeria, hypocrites I'll call them!
I talked of how my govt try to solve problems, right? Guess how they are dealing with this fuel scarcity ish? They are busy stopping petrol stations from selling fuel to jerry-cans because Black-marketers will hoard the fuel and by also closing down some petrol stations that sell above the official pump price, even though they are somewhat right to do so but that's far from the actual solution to the problem. People will continue to hoard petrol and long queues will not seize to exist if the government don't FIX TEHE PROBLEM FROM THE FOUNDATION!!! If the refineries were working, there won't be fuel scarcity, if there's no fuel scarcity, they won't even have to take their time in chasing fuel hoarders.
Nothing just seems to change in this nation. No common sense yet!
